WAEC subject combination (requirements) for Communication Arts

Can a science or commercial student study Communication Arts?
Yes! If you are a science or a commercial student, you can study Communication Arts at the university provided you have the required subjects combination in your O level result. (i) University of Ibadan (UI) accepts OND Mass Communication (Upper Credit). Applicant must in addition, have passed Literature in English at ‘O’ level to qualify for Direct Entry Admissions. Accepts alo 2 ‘A’ level passes to include Literature in English and one other Arts or Social Science subject.
(ii) Catholic Institute of West Africa (CIWA) accepts Diploma in Communication Studies, Philosophy or Theology from any recognized institution of higher learning in addition to UTME requirement.
What is WAEC, NECO, GCE Special Consideration (waiver) to study Communication Arts
(i) University of Uyo requires a P.7 in Mathematics.
(ii) University of Ibadan (UI) requires 5 ‘O’ Level Credits at one sittings or 6 ‘O’ Level Credits at 2 sittings to include English Language, two Arts to include Lit-in-English and any other three or four subjects from Arts, Social Sciences or Science [Please note that Government and Economics are not Arts subjects].
(iii) Bowen University, Iwo requires 5 ‘O’ level Credits to include English Language, Literature in English and any other three Arts or Social Science subjects.
What is JAMB UTME Special Consideration (waiver) to study Communication Arts
(i) University of Uyo – Music/Literature in English/Fine Arts and any two Arts or Social Science subjects.
(ii) Bowen University, Iwo and Igbinedion University Okada accept any other subjects in addition to Literature in English
