JAMB UTME subject combination (requirements) for Education and French
You should aim for a score of 180 – 200 and above in JAMB UTME to be on a safe side (Just a piece of advice) because anything short of that may deny you of Admission/Post UTME. Of course, if you have a score below 180, you can consider College of Education or Polytechnic… Please note – JAMB is not the only option for admission. What is Direct Entry Special Consideration (waiver) to study Education and French
(i) EDALV and Usumanu Danfodiyo University (UDUSOK) accept Diploma plus four ‘O’ level credits and admits NCE holders to year III.
(ii) University of Lagos (UNILAG) accepts University of Lagos (UNILAG) foundation Diploma and Nigeria French Language Village Diploma plus UTME requirements.
(iii) University of Calabar (UNICAL) accepts NCE General English in lieu of credit in ‘O’ level English Language.
(iv) University of Benin (UNIBEN) requires: (a) 2/3 O/L (credit) including English Language and others from Lit-in-English, Religious knowledge, Fine Arts, French, History/ Government plus 3/2 NCE merit passes including French. (b) 2 A/L passes in relevant subjects plus UTME requirements. (c) Merit in own Diploma /recognised University Diploma (Credit/Upper Credit) in French plus 3 O/L credit in Arts subject including English Language.
(v) Umar Musa Yar’ Adua University Katsina (UMYU) requires five credit in English Language, French and any other three Arts subjects with a pass in Mathematics.
(vi) Tai Solarin University of Education Ijebu Ode (TASUED) accepts Two ‘A’ level passes/NCE Merit in French and any other subject in Arts and Social Science subjects or the equivalent of ‘A’ level Diploma certificate in French. Accepts also Diploma de l’ Alliance Fransaise 2e degree.
(vii) Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (OAU) accepts two ‘A’ level credit must include French and one other Arts or Professional subject. Candidates with A/Level French (Double Major combined) or NCE French (double major) are eligible for admission with or without O/Level French
(viii) Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni accepts Diploma in French form a recognised university or institution or an international Baccalaureate from a recognised French Institution.
(ix) Lagos State University, Ojo (LASU) accepts certificate in its own Foundation Programme. What is
WAEC, NECO, GCE Special Consideration (waiver) to study Education and French
(i)Bayero University, Kano (BUK), University of Benin (UNIBEN), Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (OAU), University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), Ekiti State University, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (UNIZIK) and Lagos State University, Ojo (LASU), accepts TC II merits in five subjects.
(ii) University of Benin (UNIBEN) requires other subjects chosen from History/Government, Fine Arts, Religious Knowledge, Litin-English plus English Language.
(iii) Imo State University, Owerri (IMSU), EDALV and University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) accept any other two subjects.
(iv) Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (UNIZIK) accepts any three Arts or Social Science subjects (v) Abia State University, Uturu requires credit in English Language and Mathematics..
(vi) University of Port-Harcourt (UNIPORT) and Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU) require a credit. pass in Literature in English
(vii) Umar Musa Yar’ Adua University Katsina (UMYU) accepts two A/Level Credit passes in the subject of specialization and any other Arts subject. Accepts also NCE credit level in French.
(viii) Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU) requires Literature in English Language.
(ix) Tai Solarin University of Education Ijebu Ode (TASUED) requires five ‘O’ level credits at one sit ting or six ‘O’ level credits at two sittings to include English and any other Arts or Social Science subjects.
(x) University of Calabar (UNICAL) requires at least a pass in O/L Mathematics.
(xi) Abia State University, Uturu requires Five SSCE credit to include English Language, French and any three subjects.
(xii) Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (OAU) requires ‘0’ Level or TC credit/merit passes in five subjects including English Language and French.
(xiii) Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni requires five O’ level credit to include English Language, Mathematics and any other three Arts or Social Science subjects.
(xiv) Lagos State University, Ojo (LASU) requires credit in Mathematics.
(xv) University of Lagos (UNILAG) requires five credit including English, Mathematics and any 3 of French, Literature in English, Yoruba, Igbo, History or Government, Geography, Economics, CRS, IRS and Arabic
What is JAMB UTME Special Consideration (waiver) to study Education and French
(i) Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU) and University of Benin (UNIBEN) accepts Literature in English and two other Arts or Social Science subjects.
(ii) University of Lagos (UNILAG) require French, one Arts subject and any other subject.
(iii) University of Lagos (UNILAG) accepts any three Of Literature in English, History/Government, French, Geography, Math, Yoruba/Igbo, crk/irs, Economics, Commerce.
(iv) Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni French is not compulsory.
