WAEC subject combination (requirements) for Education and Igbo

The subjects needed to study Education and Igbo in WAEC must contain five (5) credit. This subject combination is also applicable to NECO AND GCE… The required WAEC subject combination (O level requirement) for Education and Igbo must include

JAMB UTME subject combination (requirements) for Education and Igbo 

Knowing JAMB subjects for Education and Igbo is not enough. You should aim for a score of 180 – 200 and above in JAMB UTME to be on a safe side (Just a piece of advice) because anything short of that may deny you of Admission/Post UTME. Of course, if you have a score below 180, you can consider College of Education or Polytechnic… Please note – JAMB is not the only option for admission. If you’re having troubles JAMB UTME maybe it’s time you pass through IJBM, JUBEB, ND, HND or Predegree!..

Depending on your mode of entry, Education and Igbo is a three to four years course in Nigeria. According to JAMB, this course is under Faculty of Education but may be under a different faculty in some universities.

What is Direct Entry Special Consideration (waiver) to study Education and Igbo
(i) Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (UNIZIK) accepts NCE, not below credit in Igbo.
(ii) Abia State University, Uturu admits through Direct Entry only.
(iii) University of Lagos (UNILAG) accepts very good passes in three (3) JUPEB subjects: (a) NCE credit/merit in Igbo and any two Arts subjects. (b) Very good passes in three JUPEB subjects: Igbo and two of French, Yoruba, Literature-in-English, CRS/IRS, Geography and Government/History and O/Level requirements. (c) Two ‘A’ Level passes in relevant teaching subject areas. (d) Candidates must also satisfy the O/Level requirements
 

What is WAEC, NECO, GCE Special Consideration (waiver) to study Education and Igbo
(i) University of Lagos (UNILAG) requires a credit in English Language, Mathematics and any 3 of French, Literature in English, Yoruba, Igbo, History or Government, Geography, Economics, CRS, IRS and Arabic.
(iii) Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai (IBBU) requires subject of specialization
(iv) Abia State University, Uturu requires Five SSCE credit to include English Language, Igbo Language and any three subjects

What is JAMB UTME Special Consideration (waiver) to study Education and Igbo
(i) University of Lagos (UNILAG) accepts any three of Literature in English, History/Government, French, Geography, Math, Yoruba/Igbo, crk/irs, Economics, Commerce.
