- Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB)
The admission requirement to study Medicine & Surgery at Moi University
- Candidate must have a minimum Mean Grade of B+at KCSE: B+ in Biology and Chemistry; and either Maths or Physics; and either English or Kiswahili – A Weighted Cluster Point of 40 and above is mandatory (using old JAB weighted cluster formula)
- A’ Level- Have principal passes in Biology, Chemistry and Maths or Physics. Additionally, must have had a credit pass in English at O’level
- Holders of Diplomas, BSc & Masters degrees in related subjects IF: • KCSE Graduates, have a Mean Grade of B and B in Biology, Chemistry and either Maths or Physics, and B in either English or Kiswahili. • A’ Level- Have principal passes in Biology, Chemistry and Maths or Physics. Additionally, must have had a credit pass in English at O’level
- Those with other qualifications: MUST have their results equated by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC)
- Proficiency in English

- Bachelor of Science (Medical Psychology)
The admission requirement to study Medical Psychology at Moi University
- Candidate must have a minimum Mean Grade of C+ at KCSE: C+ in Biology and Chemistry; and either Maths or Physics; and either English or Kiswahili. A Weighted Cluster Point of 30 and above is mandatory
- A’ Level- Have principal passes in Biology, Chemistry and Maths or Physics. Additionally, must have had a credit pass in English at O’level
- Holders of Diplomas and other degrees: Candidates with a diploma or other qualification with at least a credit pass in psychology or counseling related fields from institutions recognized by Moi University Senate MUST in addition, meet the minimum university entry requirement.
- Those with other qualifications: MUST have their results equated by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC)

The admission requirement to study Physical Therapy at Moi University
- Candidate must have a minimum Mean Grade of B- at KCSE: B- in Biology and Chemistry; and either Maths or Physics and either English Or Kiswahili- A Weighted Cluster Point of 32 and above is mandatory OR
- A’ level – Have principal passes in Biology and Chemistry and either Maths or Physics Additionally, must have had a credit pass in English at O’level OR
- Holders of Diplomas and degrees in relevant area of study must have:- • KCSE Graduates – Have a Mean Grade of C+ and a C+ in Biology and Chemistry and Maths or Physics and English or Kiswahili • ‘A’ level – Have principal passes in Biology and Chemistry and either Maths or Physics Additionally, must have had a credit pass in English at O’level OR
- Those with other qualifications: MUST have their results equated by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC)

The admission requirement to study Medical Laboratory science at Moi University
- Candidate must have a minimum Mean Grade of B at KCSE: B in Biology and Chemistry; and either Maths or Physics; and either English or Kiswahili. A Weighted Cluster Point of 36 and above is mandatory OR
- A’ Level- Have principal passes in Biology, Chemistry and Maths or Physics. Additionally, must have had a credit pass in English at O’level OR
- Holders of Diplomas and other Degrees: Candidates with a diploma or other degrees with at least a credit pass in Health related fields from institutions recognized by Moi University Senate MUST in addition, meet the minimum university entry requirement. 4. The admission requirement:
- Applicants must meet the common Moi University School of Medicine Graduate Studies Committee (SOMGSC) entry requirements as they refer to Master of Medicine Programmes.
- Be a holder of the MBChB degree from Moi University or it’s equivalent from other institutions approved by Moi University Senate
- Be registered or registerable as a medical practitioner by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board (MPDB)
- Have worked for at least one (1) year after internship
- Pass admission interviews as determined by the Department Postgraduate Committee.
- If from foreign countries, show evidence of proficiency in English language. NB: Interviews will be in both written and oral form.

- Master of Pharmacy in Clinical Pharmacy (MPharm Clin.Pharm)
The admission requirement to study Clinical Pharmacy at Moi University
- Be a holder of a Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) degree or equivalent recognized by Moi University Senate.
- Be registered or registerable as a Pharmacist by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).
- Meet the common Moi University Graduate Studies and MUSOM rules governing entry to the Master of Medicine programmes. International applicants from non-English speaking countries should provide evidence of proficiency in English.
- Pass admission interview administered by the departmental admission committee. NB: Interviews will be in both written and oral form

The admission requirement to study Immunology at Moi University

- Be a holder of a Bachelors Degree in the Health Sciences field from a University approved by Moi University Senate.
- If from foreign countries, show evidence of proficiency in English language.
- Pass admission interviews as determined by the Department Post Graduate Committee. NB: Interviews will be in both oral and written form

The admission requirement to study International Health Research Ethics at Moi University
- Meet the common Moi University School of Medicine Graduate Studies Committee (SOMGSC) entry requirements as they refer to Master of Science Programmes
- Be a holder of Bachelor’s Degree from Moi University or its equivalent from other institutions approved by Moi University Senate.
- If from foreign countries, show evidence of proficiency in English language.
- Pass admission interviews as Candidates with lower second class honors with at least a credit in Biochemistry or Molecular Biology will be considered in addition be required to have two years’ experience in relevant field.
- Evidence of proficiency in English will be required. NB: Interviews will be in both oral and Written form.

The admission requirement to study Gynecologic Oncology at Moi University
- Meet the common Moi University School of Medicine Graduate Studies Committee (SOMGSC) entry requirements as they refer to Master of Medical Science Programmes
- Master of Medicine (MMed degree) in Reproductive Health of Moi University or its equivalent.
- Specialist recognition in Reproductive Health by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists’ Board (MPDB) of Kenya or an equivalent regulatory authority. If from foreign countries, show evidence of proficiency in English language
- Pass admission interviews as determined by the Departmental Postgraduate Committee determined by the Departmental Postgraduate Committee.
- Interested applicants should develop a concept proposal within the area of International Health Research Ethics. The concept should contain the following sections: Background, Research Questions, Objectives, Proposed methods; should be 1-2 pages only. The admission requirement to study Medical Biochemistry at Moi University
- Meet the common Moi University School of Medicine Graduate Studies Committee (SOMGSC) entry requirements as they refer to Master of Science Programmes.
- A candidate should normally have a 1st class or upper second class honors degree in Biochemistry or Molecular Biology from Moi University or any other recognized University.
- Candidates with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery or Bachelor of Pharmacy, Bachelor of Dentistry or any other degree in biomedical sciences with at least a credit in Biochemistry or Molecular Biology will be considered. If from foreign countries, show evidence of proficiency in English language
- Pass admission interviews as determined by the Departmental Postgraduate Committee.
